2024 STAUNTON OUTSIDE ARTS
This October, Staunton Outside Arts (SOA) is proud to present its fourth annual pop-up art exhibition, transforming the city into a vibrant canvas. Over the course of the month, artists from diverse disciplines—including multimedia, photography, sculpture, performance, and music—will showcase their work in unconventional settings. From private yards to underutilized public spaces, the exhibition will breathe new life into Staunton’s landscape.
Join us for this unique opportunity to experience art in unexpected places, celebrating creativity and community in every corner of the city. Whether you're an art enthusiast or simply curious, there's something for everyone to discover and enjoy.
SOA 2024 has concluded, thank you for your support!

INFORMATION ON INTERACTIVE PIECES
Kyle Epps
The Greens in Our Red, White, and Blue
Virtual piece via The Cube at Ciders From Mars
This piece is an immersive reminder of the hidden sacrifices that build the foundation of our national identity, where diverse cultural contributions intertwine, ensuring the ideals of liberty and unity prevail through time.
To access the piece, scan the QR code below, which will take you to an online app.
Click continue.
The app needs to locate horizontal surfaces to "anchor" the image, so slowly pan your camera around until it does. You may need to walk around a little bit.
Once it finds what it needs, click the prompt and the piece is now activated.
You may pan the camera around and even walk through the piece for an up close viewing.
Each time you come back to it, you will need to reset the anchor.

Be Love: A Community Participatory Project

What does it mean to
ACCEPT LOVE | BE LOVE | GIVE LOVE?
How are we/can we, be love
IN OUR HOMES | TO OUR FAMILY/FRIENDS | WITHIN OUR COMMUNITIES?
● Ponder the questions above and respond with a statement on a Post-it note provided at the venue
● Stick your Post-it response on the glass over the white space surrounding BE LOVE, at the venue
● Add your name to the Community Contributors List: first name, last initial.
If you would like to remain anonymous that is fine too. If you are interested, find me @azzamarie_studio and send
me your handle...I will tag you in the photos.
● Available for Community Contributions from Sunday, October. 6 through Wednesday, October 16.
● I will take the responses and the canvas home to Hand Letter everyone's contributions to the
canvas.
The finished piece will be back at Ciders from Mars, Thursday, October 24-31!
